Mark Webber Takes Red Bull to the Streets of London

Mark Webber doesn't seem to get enough of these street races, so he took his Red Bull car for another city adventure on Friday morning. This time, it happened on the streets of London, where the Australian driver did a promotional video for Red Bull.

The promotional run started at 6 AM in order to avoid the heavy traffic in the English capital, and saw Webber drive around the Parliament Square and towards the Palace of Westminster. Obviously, the people on the streets at that time of day watched the 33-year old Australian with plenty of enthusiasm.

Additionally, the Red Bull crew decided to offer an extra feature for the F1 fans in Central London and proceeded to a quick pit stop right in front of the House of Parliament, with Big Ben watching over from the heights of the square. No less than 5 such pit stops were performed until the end of the demonstration tour.

Obviously, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity - it's not every day you get to see the sights of London from an F1 car. This year has once again thrown up some interesting rule changes so any practice the team can get (changing tires) is going to make a difference, no matter where it is,” said Webber.

As a team, we practice and perform pit stops in all sorts of conditions around the world but this has been a really unique experience, one I imagine won't be repeated. We've only got a week to go before Silverstone so what better way to practice under pressure than outside the Houses of Parliament,” added Red Bull manager Jonathan Wheatley.

But we'll let you enjoy the video below...
