Ever wondered what the Dacia Logan would look like as a hatchback? Of course you didn't, since the Romania budged brand was kind enough to actually sell such a car in the form of the Sandero.
But the 'clever' Indians at Mahindra wanted their own version of the Logan that's less than 4 meters long (cheaper to tax), and since they no longer have access to Renault tech, they chopped the car know to them as the Verito (first-generation Logan).

This isn't the first time we've heard of this car, but thanks to Autocar India, we can show you the first photos of the Verito Vibe completely undisguised. Since the rear hatch has a sloped design and is flanked by tall headlights, it kind of looks like the old Ford Fiesta.

The car is expected to go on sale later this year for under 600,000 Indian rupees, equivalent to €8,300 at the current exchange rate. Its main advantages will include lots of interior space, a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine with good fuel economy and a substantial boot. It's expected to attract both private buyers and taxi companies.
