We are talking about an upgraded version of the original model - fans claimed that the vehicle wasn’t showing enough details, even though it also came with Mad Max’s dog. However, we’ve also heard enthusiasts say that this still doesn’t fully fulfill their perfect replication dream.
Seems to work fine for us though...
Hey, we may never get our hands on the steering wheel of the famous mean machine, but we are allowed to get a little dreamy now and then. Therefore, we’ve figured we could rediscover what’s underneath that bad-boy look.
"How the hell did you get all this together?"
"[It] just happened Max, you know - A piece from here and a piece from there."
Well, it wasn’t quite a random appearance, to be honest. In fact, the Interceptor is based on a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT coupe. Then, some auto brainiacs modified it to become a police interceptor by the Main Force Patrol.
Above all, this vehicle is the car that made Mad Max what he is today. It’s a hero car, alright, even if they come in a world of dirt and mad eyes. Who cares it's a post-apocalyptical world when you can get your hands on such cars?
After all, to have a scale model that resembles its original shapes is more than being a big fan, it’s like paying tribute to the whole story.
