Those who simply can't imagine living in any residence that doesn't boast impeccable finishes and luxurious styling will be happy to see that even compact homes on wheels can meet that criteria. Modern Tiny Living is the go-to name in this case, as this builder is widely known for its stunning craftsmanship and high-end contemporary interior design.
Gorgeous woodwork and a remarkably versatile layout with hidden functionalities are the main ingredients in this tiny home's success formula. It would be hard, if not impossible, to find a Modern Tiny Living custom creation that doesn't look incredible, and it's not just about looks; anyone looking for truly functional configurations and extreme attention to detail is sure to find them here.

The Rodanthe is one of the many custom-built tiny homes flaunting the brand's signature style with a unique, original touch every time. In Rodanthe's case, an unusual breakfast nook stands out, as well as a modern mix of dark-toned wood and stainless steel that has an outstanding visual effect. Completed five years ago, this custom tiny looks incredibly modern, fresh, and luxurious.

In terms of accommodation, Rodanthe is officially a one-bedroom home, which would make it ideal for couples. Yet, as a personalized version of the brand's popular Kokosing platform, known for its highly versatile social area, Rodanthe generously offers accommodation capabilities for up to four people, whether that's temporary guests or other family members.

Although this custom-designed social area functions beautifully as a daytime lounge, it could be converted into a permanent second bedroom if needed; after all, that's what versatility is all about, allowing tiny homeowners to adapt existing amenities to the various changes and needs in their lifestyle over time.

Modern Tiny Living's original social area offers spacious seating, massive storage, and accommodation capabilities all in one. During the day, the U-shaped cozy sofa is inviting enough for large groups of people, which is a great thing to have in a tiny home, and it perfectly mirrors the three-window setup surrounding it. In other words, you get comfy seating for everyone and beautiful panoramic views.

Six large drawers turn this versatile piece into an awesome storage solution. You'll also notice two beautifully crafted, smaller bookcases that also provide storage and even have a decorative effect. Last but not least, the modular sofa converts to a generous double bed that also benefits from the lounge's strategic placement for a sense of openness and spaciousness.

In fact, there are no cramped, isolated rooms inside this luminous home. Rodanthe's master bedroom is pretty much an ideal version of a loft room, boasting generous walk-around space and a wonderful sense of openness. It comes with high-quality flooring and large windows flanking the supremely cozy king-sized bed. The gorgeous all-white shiplap walls and ceiling instantly widen the space and also have a relaxing effect for a Zen ambiance.

While the ground floor area is packed with all kinds of storage solutions and other design hacks, Rodanthe's bedroom is delightfully minimalistic, which enhances the feeling of luxury. There's literally zero clutter inside this room and maximum luminosity. The open-work barrier also keeps the line of sight unobstructed, offering safety without blocking the view.

Rodanthe's piece de resistance is the breakfast nook in the kitchen area. It's spacious, comfortable, and multi-functional. A wide wooden bar with a stainless steel countertop is strategically placed under the windows. It doubles not just as a practical home office (with power outlets conveniently nearby) but even as a makeup nook or a hobby space in general, thanks to a large vertical mirror that drops down from the ceiling.

During breakfast time or any other time when there's no need for a mirror, it stays neatly stored in its ceiling nook; when they need it, the owners can simply drop it down and still enjoy the full spaciousness and luminosity of this beautiful, flexible area.

Having a separate dining nook also means enjoying a wider cooking surface in the kitchen without having to switch from one function to the other all the time. Plus, Rodanthe's dining nook was cleverly set up between the staircase and the bathroom door, which adds a bit of privacy and quiet, something that's needed, especially when this is used as a work area.

The same type of stainless steel countertop elevates the overall kitchen style. In combination with the impeccable woodwork throughout, this has a modern, sophisticated look. The gorgeous cabinetry, including the massive staircase leading to the master bedroom, is all custom-made, and it offers excellent storage – the staircase cabinets, for instance, include a spacious wardrobe. The common overhead cupboards were replaced by much daintier floating shelves that add to the storage without closing the space.

All in all, the Rodanthe tiny home used its 24-foot (7.3 meters) length wisely through a modern layout with huge versatility. Destined to settle down in North Carolina, this custom tiny was beautifully equipped for vacation stays and long-term accommodation alike. It's hard to find the same level of functionality wrapped in impeccable styling elsewhere, which ultimately shows why this is such a trusted builder.
