Compared to the 2014 Dodge Viper SRT worth at least $102k, the RT/10 that has been recently sold on eBay is 5 times cheaper. There's no competition in terms of power, comfort and handling, but the older Viper has that 1990s patina fans of the breed can't get enough of. To boot, this 1993 Viper is a very low-mileage car.
Just a few hours ago, eBay user judi52 has sold the old school RT/10 for $23,100 to the winning bidder. To put that amount of money into comparison, a mid-range 2014 model year Dodge Avenger SXT can be yours for $23,295. A square-shaped four-pot econobox isn't exactly something to boast about, but that cannot be said about the first-gen Viper.

The car we're talking about today is the 120th first-generation Dodge Viper ever produced and it's even got a serialized plaque telling you just that, along with the names of the first owners - Bob & Jackie. eBay user judi52 tells that "this car actually belongs to my father. He has enjoyed many vintage and also high performance vehicles over the years, this Viper being one from his collection; however, he and my mom have had considerable medical problems the last few months and he has decided to downsize his toy collection."

The seller's dad is the second owner of the two-door roadster animated by an 8-liter V10 engine with 400 horsepower and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) on tap. Hey, it was the 1990s, cars weren't that powerful back then compared to the super fast vehicles of the 21st century. Mind you, the lucky bidder of this dirt cheap Viper will have to make do without air-con and a deafening loud Borla performance exhaust.
