Stock SRT Viper on Drag Radials Does 11-Second Quarter Mile

Chrysler can say the new Viper is designed to take on European supersport cars all it wants, owners only really care about one thing: speed.

The car that gave Chrysler its pulse back continue to use the biggest sledgehammer in the business, a truck-like 8.4 liters of V10 might. While getting 640 hp from such a big engine doesn't sound that impressive, it's still plenty good enough for this sort of stuff.

This bone-stock SRT Viper puts down 640-hp and thanks to sticky drag radial tires, it sets a very decent 11.22 second quarter mile time at 127 miles per hour. Just for reference's sake, a McLaren MP4-12 did the quarter mile in 10.93 on the exact same track, despite costing about three times as much.
