A home with a pool is good, but a home with several pools is even better. A compound / mansion with several pools, one of which drains to turn into a helipad is next-level-James-Bond-type-of cool.
One such home exists and, lucky you, is for sale. It’s called Villa Chameleon and it’s bound to turn every one of your 007-related fantasies into reality, from said pool that turns into helipad to an underground garage, where you can safely tuck away 5 of your most prized sets of wheels.

Villa Chameleon was built in 2012 by a Swiss-German consortium and was first listed for sale in 2014.

Situated in the exclusive residential community Son Vida in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, it’s actually an impressive 3-building compound that spreads across a surface of 26,866 square feet (2,495 square meters). It’s massive, alright, and includes everything you could ever want to pretend you’re the slick 007 spy in real-life, all luxury amenities, breathtaking vistas and one surprise that also gives it its name. More on that in a second.

The 3-building compound totals 17 rooms, 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. An estimated 50 percent of the walls is made up of three-layered glass, which allows in plenty of natural light and offers outsiders a hint of the amazing LED light show inside. That’s why it’s called that: it was built with customizable, programmable LED technology that basks it in whatever color theme the owner prefers.

Thousands of LED lights are embedded into surfaces, from interior furnishes to the larger pools, the glass balconies and the walkways. The glazing allows light to diffuse throughout the glass, so the effect is an eerie glow. Whether you choose purple, lime green, blood red or bright blue, or a combination of any, you’re bond to make a trip to the fridge or a casual swim in the pool feel like a scene in Skyfall, the Sam Mendes-directed James Bond hailed as his best.

“Light, more light and only light: Surprising, subtle, refined, and soft light,” reads the listing with the Engel & Völkers Palma Surroundings. “The Chameleon House charms thanks to the fascinating interplay of extraordinary light effects. More than half of the facade is made of fine crystal glass, on the surface of which the sophisticated LED technology performs miracles of light again and again. Exactly how you wish and program it.”

As noted above, the compound comes with underground garage for 5 vehicles and parking space for 6 more. Access to the garage is possible from the main building, which houses the master bedroom and several bedrooms with ensuites, a professional-grade kitchen, land iving area. The main building is 3-storied and makes the other two pale in comparison.

It also has a library and media room, a wine cellar, a cinema, a staff apartment and outside pool area. There’s a glass elevator for use of guests and a freight elevator for catering to every one of their needs.

The second, lower building functions as a spa and wellness center, with its own fully-equipped gym, indoor lap pool and sauna, and is accessible through an underground tunnel – further driving the James Bond abode comparisons home. Two heated pools can be found on the rooftop, for those guests who might want to top their tans in the process. One of the pools has glazed edges that allow swimmers to look down – and into – the spa area underneath.

The third building is a self-contained, luxurious guest house, with its own kitchen, three bedrooms, living room and plenty of terraces to take in all those spectacular views.

When it was first listed in 2014, Villa Chameleon came with an asking price of 39.5 million euro, which is roughly $43.2 million at today’s exchange rate. Earlier this year, the price dropped to 29.5 million euro (32.3 million), and was further slashed to the current asking price of 22.5 million euro ($24.6 million).

In a way, you’d be getting a bargain if you bought it now. After all, if you really want to live out your wildest James Bond dreams, you have to be willing (and to afford) to put your money where your mouth is.
