It looks like it’s been a good month for Lexus too, as it recently reported a 3.6 percent sale increase during May 2013 in tjhe US compared to the same period of 2012, based both on volume and daily selling rate basis.
Among the 22,229 unit sold last month, the Lexus LS and ES models achieved the highest scores, with a 117 percent increase (represented by the 996 units sold) for the first one and a 100.5 percent raise (5,890 models sold) for the latter.
“Luxury vehicle sales are benefitting from the rise in consumer confidence,” said Jeff Bracken, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “The ES and LS are two of the hottest models in the luxury industry with sales doubling in May, and we expect this momentum to carry through the summer months.”
