Japanese luxury automaker Lexus has trademarked the name RC 350 in Australia, which might indicate a new coupe model is on the way.
There is no other mention of such a name in Lexus’s history, so we’ll have to play the alphabet game to find out what this might mean. The “R” part of the name points to something different than a GS or IS coupe model, while the “C” points at the car being a coupe.

Rather than being bigger than the GS, the RC will likely be more upmarket or racier. However, the fact that it’s a 350 means it’s not a hybrid and that it’s powered by the 3.5-liter engine. With the IS-F already on the drawing board, this could simply be a dedicated sportscar.

Lexus has show two very interesting concepts this year, the LF-LC, a sort of BMW 6-Series rival, and this, the LF-CC, which previews their future design language.
