With the new NX coming to market now, Lexus is a bit afraid for its bigger RX loosing ground, reason for which it started to sweeten the pot a bit by adding more standard features to the Advance trim level. In the UK at least...
We can’t blame them. The new Lexus NX really is a better car for the urban environment, not to mention the fact that it looks way cooler and it comes for less cash than he RX.
So, the Lexus RX 450h Advance now comes with the high performance Mark Levinson 7.1 surround sound system as standard. The pack also includes a DVD player rear-view camera and Lexus’ mouse-like Remote Touch as well as premium navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
The RX 450h Advance also comes with fog lights, LED headlights with auto-adaptive system, a sunroof/panoramic roof, smart entry with push start button, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated eight-way adjustable front seats, electric mirrors, auto wipers and rear privacy glass.
Power comes from a fully hybrid powertrain, combining a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine and an electric motor, producing 295 bhp and pushing the SUV from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in under 8 seconds.
Even with the added features, the RX 450h is offered at the same price of £48,495, and is available in five colors: Velvet Black, Arctic Pearl, Mercury Grey, Satin Silver and Celestial Black.
