The Lexus IS-F, while not as technically capable as its main rival, the BMW M3, is definitely a good enough car to be a viable option for those who want an M3 but at the same time don’t want an M3.
The 'F' already looked rather handsome, but throw a bucked of orange paint over it, add some racy-looking black detailing and some fibrous carbon, a big wing on the back and a generous front splitter, and you’ve got an awesome (looking) race car, the Pikes Peak-ready IS-F CCS-R. Also, the 5-liter V8 under the bonnet provides more-than-adequate shove, accompanied by a soundtrack unique to the IS-F.

To prove the earlier statement regarding the sound, we’ve linked two videos, one of which features a short squirt of throttle while the car is stationary (If you’d put a vase close to the exhausts it would have shattered into a million pieces), while the other is onboard footage from one of the cars testing sessions.

The first video was shot on-board, during a test session which took place at Fuji Speedway

This second video is just a short dose of V8 goodness!
