Lexus CT 200h Is Coming to Malaysia

The 2011 Lexus CT 200h hybrid, which debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March last year, should be arriving in Malaysia, as Lexus Malaysia has announced the pricing details of the hybrid on its website. The base model will set you back MYR168,000 ($54,857) and if you want LED headlamps and sat-nav, you can have it in Luxury trim for MYR196,500 ($64,163).

Classified as a compact car, the CT is the smallest Lexus and is built on a version of the platform that also underpins the Scion tC, Toyota Corolla and the larger Lexus HS 250h. Powering the model is a unit similar to that in the Toyota Prius, which combines a 99 hp, 142 Nm 1.8-liter VVT-i engine and an 80 hp electric motor that is powered by 168-cell Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries. The total output of 136 hp is transmitted to the front wheels via a CVT. This is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of 10.3 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph).

In Malaysia, the CT 200h is offered with 16" alloy wheels, leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and 6-speaker audio system with CD-player, MP3/WMA compatibility and AUX/USB external inputs. Safety features include eight airbags, braking controls (ABS, EBD & BA), traction control and stability control.

The Luxury version adds auto-leveling LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, performance dampers, smart entry function, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, reverse camera, Electro Multi Vision (EMV) screen, remote touch controller, Lexus Navigation System, Bluetooth connectivity, and 10-speaker audio system with 6-disc CD-changer and sub-woofer.
