Lamborghini calls the Urus a 'super SUV.' Nobody can blame them for it. But what would be the most appropriate name for it after it drives out of the ABT workshop with extra oomph and head-turning looks? The German tuners found just the right designation.
ABT calls it 'Scatenato,' which is Italian for 'Wild.' Wild it is, indeed, because the tuning house, a family business since before World War I, decided that their Urus is definitely untameable.

When it drives out the factory gate in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, the Lamborghini Urus takes with it 641 horsepower (650 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. It was surely not enough for the ABT engineers, who decided to take it to the next level: all the way to 799 horsepower (810 PS). How did they get there? An ABT Power R package, which integrates an upgraded turbocharger and intercooler) is to blame.

ABT does not provide any info on the new performance figures. But since the Urus runs from 0 to 100 kph (0-62 mph) in 3.5 seconds, the Power Package must have shaved off at least 0.1 seconds. The official top speed of the super SUV is 305 kph (190 mph), so that one must have also changed with all the upgrades. Besides, this is not the first Lamborghini Urus tuned by ABT. So they obviously know what they are doing.

The model rides on 23-inch five-spoke forged wheels in gloss black. That finish matches the glossy fiber carbon elements, such as the front splitter, hood air ducts, mirror caps, side grills, and rear wing. ABT fitted larger titanium tailpipes in matte black.

ABT says nothing about any suspension tweaks. But we assume that they must have forgotten to mention it, since the Urus in the photos seems to be sitting closer to the ground despite the massive wheels.

Nothing out of the ordinary, there is plenty of carbon fiber on board as well, but customers can choose either a gloss or matte finish.

The Lamborghini Urus Scatenato will only be available for 99 lucky customers. They will have to pay $189,141 (179,000 euros) for the modification that can be performed on the Urus, Urus S, and Urus Performance. And that is on top of the car, which starts at around $235,000. If we put two and two together, we get a car that is more expensive than the Bentley Bentayga, for instance.

Yet getting one, with or without the ABT performance kit, might be the last chance to get the Urus with no electrification at all. The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 is getting an electric motor to operate with, in a plug-in hybrid setup. The all-electric next-generation Urus will arrive in 2029.
