How would you feel if a supercar manufacturer like Lamborghini would create a vehicle, in the manner and style they have gotten us used to, that can be used on a daily basis, and not only at special occasions, when you have some friends who need impressing coming over?
Feel as you like, because Lamborghini plans on doing it. Mesmerized by the possibility of selling more and pressed by mother group Volkswagen into increasing the number of units sold to help it reach the number one position by 2018, Lambo now says that, sometime in the next four years (the time needed for the manufacturer to develop the car), an everyday supercar will enter the automotive scene.
"We are going to have a third model. It has to be an everyday car. We want to have a car which is able to be used on a daily basis," Stephan Winkelmann, the company's CEO said according to Reuters.
It's not clear yet how the now Lambo would present itself. According to Winkelmann, the model will not be produced with the help of anyone else but Volkswagen, from which Lamborghini might take inspiration and some parts, provided that it comes to consider them appropriate.
The car maker's last product, the Aventador, managed to sweep everybody off their feet, managing in a short time since the official presentation to land orders that would keep the manufacturer busy for the next year and a half. The company says its sales are boosted by the growth registered in China and Russia.
