Oakley Design has taken on the challenge to tune Lamborghini’s latest creation, the Aventador LP700-4, introducing the LP760-2, a work-in-progress project. Well, the name says it all, but you can stay with us for the juicy details.
The V12 unit will receive an ECU remap, a tweaked airbox, new air intake pipping, as well as a titanium exhaust system. This will allow the engine to deliver around 760 hp and 745 Nm of torque.
Things get really interesting if we take a look at how the power will be sent to the road. Oakley Design has decided to convert the V12 beast into a rear-wheel-drive vehicle in order to save weight.
Speaking of weight, we have to tell you that the car will ride on ultra-light, forged alloy rims, which are currently under development - HRE is taking care of this, focusing on the weight reduction. The car will keep its factory tires, which means that we’ll get Pirelli PZero rubber (255/35 at the front and 355/30 at the rear).
The tuning company will also tweak the Lambo’s aerodynamics, replacing a part of the car’s parts. Thus, the front and rear fascias will be redesigned to offer better cooling, while the side air intakes will be placed behind the doors and the side skirts will also receive a few touches. All the aforementioned parts will be made of carbon fiber. Other parts that will use the same material are a rear diffuser, door mirrors and and a set of engine bay covers.
Oakley Design will only build five units of the LP760-2, but customers who are interested can also order individual parts of the kit.
