PUR Wheels, an American company that specializes in aftermarket wheels for exotic machines, recently launched a design called the RS05. Basically, this looks as futuristic as anything from a science fiction movie, which is fitting considering the Reventon is designed after the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. The Egoista Orange paint on the new 20-inch rims contrasts against the gray bodywork quite nicely.
The Reventon was the first Lambo with a digital speedometer and rev counter, like the one the Huracan has. It's also a preview of many of the design elements that make the Aventador so cool, especially the creases and flat surfaces inspired by stealth fighters. The old wheels, the ones that were removed, had carbon fiber fins on them to suck in more air for the brakes.
They only ever made 21 of these cars, one of which is in the Lamborghini museum. Back in 2008, Sant'Agata Bolognese demanded a hefty two million dollars for each example, which at the time was equivalent to about €1.5 million or £850,000. All of them feature the same raw 6.5-liter engine as the sublime Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV. That V12 engine pumps out a mighty 670 hp and is capable of rocketing the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.
