Lamborghini Opening New Facility for Special Cars

Last year, Italian exotic car maker Lamborghini only produces about 300 more cars than in 2010, as the total rises to 1,602 supercars, 23 percent over the previous year. That’s a lot less than Ferrari, so you could say that all their cars are pretty special.

However, as some of you may know, some cars are more special than others. And over the years they’ve released some unique one-off and limited production cars. Most recently the Aventador J made them a huge amount of money, so Lamborghini have decided to focus more on this sort of business.

A new facility has been announced today that will place priority on limited production specialty models. It’s most important job right now is to put the Sesto Elemento concept we saw during the 2010 Paris Auto Show into limited production.

This will be a carbon fiber lightweight track car offering a re-tuned Gallardo engine and impressive performance. It will also be very exclusive, as only 20 will be built.
