These days, if it’s supercars you are looking for, you are one click away from browsing the most extreme stuff you cam imagine. Drifting, races, police chases, they’re all here on the world wide web. Nonetheless, when you actually take a supercar out in the real world, you’ll notice that things tend to be a bit more complicated than that.
You see, one of the ways in which supercars give you that feeling of speed even when not traveling all that fast is through their special soundproofing. The wheelarches, for instance, aren’t all that willing to repel the sounds coming from around the wheels. One tiny rock jumping from its warm spot within the tire into the wheelarch and you’ll say “ouch, I’ve hit something!”.

Moreover, most supercars are best at going fast, not necessarily sideways. Sure, you can drift the hell out of such machines, but, on many occasions, all the chassis want to do is come back in a straight line.

Then there are the safety-related issues... push the pedal to the metal in second and you’re already in danger. Actual danger, legal danger, you name it.

These are just a few of the reasons for which you don’t see supercars being drifted or raced against each other on public roads, at least not too often. Well, this is where the virtual world steps in and we’ve got the freshest example of this for you. Sure, it's nice to be able to powerslide such monsters around a track and the conclusions are priceless, but you don't always have the chance to. Back to the virtual world then.

This comes in the form of the adjacent image, a rendering that shows a McLaren 650S racing a Lamborghini Huracan. By the way, last time we checked it was the Mac that had the bigger appetite for exhaust flames, but we’re not here to question the artistic vision...
