Lamborghini has finally put a price on the only rear-wheel drive convertible it has on offer right now, the Gallardo LP 550-2 Spyder, which is basically a drop-top version of the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni Edition. To get your chance to sit behind the wheel of this focused model in the US, you’ll have to fork over $209,000, which does not include the $3,000 or so you’ll be paying as a delivery charge.
But what does this car have to offer for that kind of money? Well LP indicates you’ve got a longitudinally mounted V10, the 550 represents the amount of rampaging horses you can release if you push the right pedal all the way and the 2 says you can do a power slide if you’re in the mood.
The Spider is also very light since it isn’t bogged down by an AWD system. This means the LP550-2 can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in just 4,2 seconds. And given its top speed of 319 km/h you can play on the straight and narrow as well.
