Stopping your car in the fast lane of a multi-lane highway gives the car practically no chance to drive off in one piece. It happened to a Lamborghini, which broke down during a highway drive somewhere in China. The supercar was rear-ended at high speed by an SUV.
The Lamborghini Huracan broke down in the middle of the road, with no chance in the world to keep on driving. The only thing that the driver could do was walk away the first moment he found a gap between cars passing by at high speed and try to keep himself safe from ongoing traffic. He left his Lamborghini on the highway, still flashing the hazard lights. But they were not of much help.

The driver obviously did the right thing at the right time, because only seconds later, the driver of a Geely SUV, unaware of the danger ahead, slammed hard into his supercar and sent it into the side barrier.

The Lambo bounces to the right side across three lanes, with pieces of the two cars flying around and landing on the tarmac while fluids spilled all over the road, putting other drivers in danger. Luckily, though, the driver of an Audi rolling behind the SUV somehow managed to slow down in time and escape the debris.

Footage from a surveillance camera shows the driver of the Lamborghini standing next to his car, which has the hood of the frunk popped up, moments before the crash. He is looking in there, probably trying to find a warning triangle to show the other drivers that there is a car broken down up front.

He surely isn't trying to figure out what went wrong with the engine since the Lamborghini Huracan is a mid-engine car, with the V10 placed between the front and rear axle.

The driver is seen waving at others, trying to warn them, before he walks away to keep himself away from the risk of getting hit as his car was about to be. The driver of the SUV, reportedly a Geely Xingyue compact crossover, might have not paid attention to the road ahead, because there is no trace of the car braking or swerving to try to avoid the collision with the Lamborghini.

The sports car built in Sant'Agata Bolognese is set in motion, unless broken down, by a 5.2-liter V10 engine, rated at 602 horsepower (610 PS) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) of torque. The car does 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 2.5 seconds, can hit 168 mph (300 kph) in 27.6 seconds, and runs the quarter mile in 10.4 seconds at 135 mph (217 kph). The needle of the odometer goes all the way to 202 mph (325 kph).
