The KTM X-BOW GT isn’t the kind of car that requires extra muscle, but German aftermarket developer Wimmer Rennsporttechnik begs to differ, fitting the car with a power upgrade.
KTM’s X-BOW GT, which showed up at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, uses the R model as a starting point. Thus, it features an Audi 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit, which delivers 285 HP and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) in stock form.

Wimmer RS has fitted the powerplant with forged pistons, an H shaft rod, an upgraded fuel pump, as well as a larger turbo and a custom exhaust system. A new ECU manages the upgraded toys, with the result being an output of 435 HP and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque.

Thanks to the tech changes, the 0 to 62 mph sprint is now covered in 3.3 seconds, 0.9s quicker than stock. Moving further into the figures territory, we’ll tell you that this thing only needs 11.7s to hit 120 mph (193 km/h), while its top speed sits at 153 mph (246 km/h).
