The German tuners at Wimmer have presented various upgrades for the C63 AMG in the past, but they seem to can’t get enough of the possibilities offered by this vehicle. The 6.3-litre V8 engine fitted under the hood of the Mercedes C63 AMG has recently received new modifications that have resulted in improved figures in terms of performance.

Modifications included a sports camshaft, reworked cylinder heads, an optimized air intake, custom manifold and catalytic converters plus a stainless steel exhaust system and a sports air filter.

According to the tuners, these aforementioned modifications have increased the power output to 601 hp and 720 Nm (531 lb.ft.) of torque, which means a power to weight ratio of 2,79 kg/hp, while the top speed can now reach 329 km/h/204 mph (up from the 306 km/h/190 mph offered by the standard version).

Pricing for the engine conversion was set by Wimmer to EUR19,900 (about $27,990 at the current exchange rate).

In addition to that, a new wheel and tire combination consisting of BBS CH-R alloys (8.5 or 9.5 x 19 inches) and Dunlop rubber (235/35-19 front, 265/35-19 at the rear) is also available, all for an extra EUR3,600 ($5,050).

The factory C63 has a revised front bumper, taken from the CLK 63 AMG Black Series. First launched in 2007, it has a 6.3-liter engine producing 450 hp, coupled with a 7G-Tronic SpeedShift gearbox. The most powerful factory version of the C-Klasse to date is the DR520 2011 limited-edition model, with power rating of 520 hp (390 kW) and 480 ft.lb (650 Nm) of torque.

"Even in the serial configuration, this car allows the “chauffeur” to experience unusual feelings and makes the driver both a connoisseur and a winner. WIMMER Rennsporttechnik from Solingen has personified the driving fun once again – as it should be after the company name addition – breathing even more performance," a company statement reads.
