Wimmer's Tuned Porsche GT2 Hits 60 in 3.4 Seconds

Porsche's models have always been attractive, especially from the point of view of the power they release, but some people simply think this is not enough. Such an example comes from Germany as the engineers over at Wimmer Rennsporttechnik Solingen got their hands on a GT2.

The result? The Porsche is now developing 150 horsepower (111 kW) more power compared to the standard version, according to a report by MotorAuthority.com. Obviously, such an output is achieved through several modifications and we'll detail them a bit in the following lines.

The twin-turbo 3.6-liter Boxer engine mounted on the Porsche GT2 has been upgraded with advanced engine management functions plus an enhanced sport exhaust with high-flow cats and sport camshafts. Thanks to all of these, the aforementioned powerplant brings out a total of 680 horsepower (507 kW). An upgraded clutch pretty much makes sense since we're talking about such high power, so the tuning house included it too.

Speaking of figures, which are the most important for aftermarket cars, the resulting vehicle jumps from 0 to 100 km/h in no more than 3.4 seconds, with 0-200 km/h acceleration done in 9.78 seconds. The car tops at 221mph (356km/h), according to data provided by the aforementioned source.

Obviously, developing and handling such an outstanding power requires the addition of several other enhancements, so here they are: Dunlop Sport-Maxx GT tires especially designed for high speeds, 235/30 in front and 325/20 in rear, 20-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler lip and H&R suspension improvements.

Supposing you're already own a Porsche GT2 and you'd like to apply the aforementioned upgrades, you must be ready to empty your bank accounts as the whole package is priced at 29,800 euros ($40,400).
