Kia Secures Fleet Deal Involving 120 cee’d SW EcoDynamics

The British division of Kia announced it has won an important fleet deal, with 120 cee’d SW EcoDynamics vehicles to be delivered to the Cirrus, Interphone Security Group and Instant Fire Protection Group. The cars will be used by the groups' employees as they visit clients across the country.

“The outstanding value for money and great specification of the cee’d range really hit the spot,”
Andy Dunsdon, Regional Business Sales Manager, Kia Motors (UK) Limited said in a release.

”Our seven year warranty helped to reduce their contract hire rates, our low CO2 emitting diesel engine will reduce their fleet emissions, as well as their employee’s tax contributions, and standard features such as Bluetooth, iPod connectivity and driver’s seat lumbar adjustment were a big hit with their staff,”
Dunsdon added.

The EcoDynamics range is available on all versions of cee’d (cee’d, pro_cee’d and cee’d SW) as well as the new Venga B-segment MPV.

The cee’d EcoDynamics is based on the five-door version of the cee’d and manages to return a CO2 emissions figure of 98 grams per kilometer. This can be translated into an 11 percent reduction in emissions, compared to the current cleanest model in the cee’d range. The latter has a CO2 emissions figure of 110 grams/kilometer.

The EcoDynamics cee’d is powered by a 1.6 liter diesel unit producing 90 HP at 4,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 235 Nm, available from 1,900 to 2,750 rpm. The vehcile also features Intelligent Stop and Go (ISG) technology that shuts the engine down when the vehicle is at a standstill and in neutral and restarts as soon as the clutch pedal is re-engaged.
