British customers now have two new black and white themed special editions to choose from in Kia’s lineup, as the manufacturer has just introduced the Domino and Echo alternatives for the Picanto, Rio and Soul models. Specifically, the Domino is available on the Picanto and Rio superminis, while the Echo is available on the Soul urban crossover.
Taken separately, the Picanto Domino is available with a 1.1-litre petrol engine, with either a manual or automatic transmission, while the Rio Domino is available with a 1.4-litre petrol or 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine. Both Domino models are available in white or optional black metallic.
Other special exterior highlights include an optional contrasting black or white ‘domino effect’ stripe that can be applied on the bumpers, mirrors and door handles. The cars also come with front fog lights and 14-inch alloy wheels (Rio) and 14-inch wheel trims (Picanto), and with ESC as standard.
Inside both Dominos we ca find air conditioning, iPod connectivity, remote central locking and a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear-knob. Rio Domino also benefits from rear electric windows.
As for the new Soul Echo, this special edition comes to round off the Soul ‘Originals’ line-up, following the Burner, Shaker and Samba variants. Echo comes in Clear White or Quartz Black metallic, and in a choice of 1.6-litre petrol or 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engines. Safety wise, the models are equipped with six airbags, ESC, EBD and traction control (TC).
The white Echo features stylish black 18-inch alloy wheels, black high-gloss door mirrors and a corresponding black sports stripe. The black Echo features white 18” alloy wheels, white high-gloss door mirrors and a sports stripe in white. Inside, both feature a full black leather interior and black dashboard fascia.
Prices starts from £7,995 OTR for the Picanto Domino and from £9,295 OTR for the Rio Domino. The Soul Echo is available from £13,995 OTR.
