Nowadays if you want to be important in the automotive world, you must have a plan that includes some sort of market bomination by the year 20-something. One of the companies that doesn’t necessarily focus on that, but is assaulting the market with one fresh product after another is Kia, along with its sister company Hyundai.
Now, it seem that the South Korean carmakers are preparing a new green development, with Hyundai Motor Group looking to launch a small electric vehicle by 2012, as Automotive News reports. This is part of a larger initiative called the TAM project, which will see the company release more EV models in the future, with a production target of 2,000 units set for next year.

For the moment, it is unclear if the new EV will also be brought to the US.
