Hyundai 10-Speed Transmission Coming in 2014

The push for reducing emission is seeing automotive engineers developing more and more solutions that help cars keep their fuel in the tank for longer. The latest development of this kind comes from The Hyundai Motor Group, which is currently working on a 10-speed automatic transmission, as Automotive News reports.

The company, which owns the Hyundai and Kia brands, has just introduced an eight-speed automatic gearbox for the 2012 Hyuindai Genesis and Equus.

And it is this kind of premium vehicles that will receive the new gearbox, which is set to arrive in 2014. Not only will the new development allow the models it will be offered on to offer superiror efficiency, but it will also help the company reduce its overall model range emission level.
