Kia announced that production of the brand new Cee’d Sportswagon has begun in Zilina, Slovakia. The five-door C-segment car for the whole family will start being delivered through their European dealer network later next month.
"The cee’d Sportswagon is an important addition to the Kia range in Europe and we have been preparing for its production throughout 2012," commented Eek-Hee Lee, President and CEO of Kia Motors Slovakia. "We are confident that the Sportswagon will prove very popular with European customers and help the Zilina plant in meeting its production target."

Kia has yet to announce full pricing for the estate version of the Cee’d. However, we do know the engine range is the same as the hatchback, meaning a choice of two petrol engines (1.4 MPI and 1.6 GDI) and two diesels, also a 1.4 and a 1.6-liter.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
