Ford really jumped the gun with the all-new Fusion. The car was revealed at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show back in January, and will only be available after production kick in during the third quarter. What’ more, the European Mondeo replacement, which is virtually identical to its American cousin now, will only become available toward the end of the year.
However, using the Kinetic Design 2.0 language has created a spectacular new mid-size, and we just can’t wait to see it going down the road.

This is the very first rendering we have to show you of what the wagon version of the Fusion/Mondeo will look like. It’s very much a real car, not just out renderer’s flight of fancy, as test vehicles were spotted last year.

As you can see from the rendering, the Fusion Wagon enjoys a very strong character line going down the side from headlight to taillight. Double exhausts and plenty of chormework around the side windows means you won’t mistake this for a budget motor.

The engine range should be borrowed from the Mondeo in Europe, but as of yet the Fusion Wagon has not been confirmed by Ford officials.
