Kei Miura Announces Release Schedule For GR Yaris Rocket Bunny Widebody Kit

It's not long now until we will be seeing dozens of widebody GR Yaris builds rolling around, featured in videos and articles around the world. With any luck, should the world recover from the pandemic, SEMA, Tokyo Auto Salon and all the other car shows might become a thing again, and we'll see these cars lined up with various wraps and setups. Let the good times roll!

You have to hand it to Toyota for really caring about petrolheads. Over the course of the past decade, the company has given us three vehicles we can all enjoy, be it from the comfort of our homes or actually from behind the wheel. We're talking about the GT86, the Supra, and now the GR Yaris. And the folks from Toyota have been smart enough to build these cars in a way you and me, or anyone else for that matter, can step in and add the final touches according to personal taste.

Tuners and race drivers have gotten early access to these vehicles so that they may already start building projects based on them. We've seen various applications of the GR Yaris for months now, whether we're talking about the 450+ horsepower HKS GR Yaris, or the close to 1,000 horsepower 2JZ one that Daigo Saito keeps having fun with.

But today, Kei Miura, the mastermind behind Rocket Bunny Tra-Kyoto, has just announced that the new Pandem Rocket Bunny kit for the GR Yaris will be available soon, with the release being scheduled for the summer of this year. Pricing hasn't been made official yet, but we expect it to be around $5,000. Included with the news were just three photos of a GR Yaris with a Yokohama Wheels/Advan livery, obviously sitting on Advan Racing GT Beyong 18-inch rims.

The car looks nothing short of amazing, and knowing that 450 horsepower won't be uncommon in these little hot hatches only makes things better. Now we just have to prepare ourselves for an endless string of different liveries and wheel setups. And knowing Youtubers these days, it seems very likely that some uncommon swaps will be happening as well.
