Good news for the Chinese Kawasaki fans: the legendary Japanese manufacturer is restarting its operations in China and this time middleweight and big-bore motorcycles are coming, too.
According to the Asahi Shimbun, Kawasaki will officially start sales in China on August 18. Motorcycles such as the Ninja ZX-14R, Ninja 650, Ninja 250, Z250 and several more will be imported via Kawasaki's local Chinese unit in Shanghai.

At the same time, Kawasaki mentioned the dealership network will also be expanded in China's biggest cities, such as Beijing, Chengdu and more, and locally-registered enterprises will be part of the growing network.

The prospects for Kawasaki's renewed Chinese operations are to reach the 5,000 annual units mark within 5 years. We're waiting for things to settle a bit and will try to find out about the prices, knowing that CBU bikes are heavily taxed in China, with Harley-Davidson being one of the examples.
