Indian Motorcycle will be present in India starting from next year, Polaris India Managing Director Pankaj Dubey admitted, notorious bike blogger Cyril Huze reports.
We were really expecting this move as it was clear that Indian Motorcycles were about to do great things under the new Polaris management. What we didn't expect, however, was to see them charge on Harley-Davidson this soon, with still months until they officially show the 2014 Indian Chief.
As for the rumored expansion of operations in China, this only makes things clear that Polaris is looking for the best way to catch up with the Motor Company as far as their presence in the East is concerned. H-D have already been in India for 3 years now and are soon starting to manufacture some of their machines there, while the 5th annual H-D rally in China shows that the Milwaukee bikes are gaining momentum.
We''re looking forward to see the 2014 Indian Chief in Sturgis and then grab some popcorn and beer, to go with watching the battle.
