Italian motorcycle news outlet In Sella has been eavesdropping around MV Agusta and somehow they got wind of the Varese manufacturer planning to show no less than three new bikes in Milan at the EICMA this fall.
While Mr. Castiglioni denies any rumors of selling MV Agusta to Mecedes-Benz/ AMG, it looks like the Italian brand is faring quite well, especially as their current engine line-up allows them to build multiple machines with revised ergonomics and serving a wide array of purposes... thus addressing to a bigger number of potential clients.

One of the rumors is the long-awaited MV Agusta with touring DNA, probably powered by the new 800cc triple. Alongside the other two new bikes, of which nobody seems to know too much, the new machinery is supposed to be derivations of the existing F3/ Brutale platform, with revised frame, suspensions and transmission.

While the touring-oriented motorcycle is most likely to be a cross-over, basically a street bike with comfort-focused ergonomics and some light trail-tackling DNA, we can also expect that the new transmission will favor low-rpm torque and completely different suspensions.

The other two could also be more streetable versions of the present bikes, possibly with a more tamed top power rating and by all meas less extreme to ride, even if still sporty.

This direction was less explored by MV Agusta until now, but it looks like the Varese guys are looking into expanding their customer base. Which is a great thing, altogether. Cometh the 2013 EICMA and let there be light.
