Some of the top MotoGP riders seem to have a knack for cars as well, but it’s not Valentino Rossi we’re talking about this time. Rossi’s team mate Jorge Lorenzo is also an avid driver and a declared Ferrari fan, and he’s just paid another visit to the Ferrari factory, checking out the production line and speaking about his experience as a Ferrari rider.
That is, because Lorenzo is so much more than a mere admirer of Prancing Horse’s four-wheelers. He has also brought racing glory for the house of Maranello, as he won the Gentlemen class of the Abu Dhabi Gulf 12 Hours race. Lorenzo was part of a 4-piece driver line-up who has succeeded behind the wheel of the Monster-powered Kessel Racing Ferrari 453 GT3 Challenge Evo beast. Even though it was also Lorenzo who managed to crash the Ferrari some half an hour before the end of the race, his team’s advantage was big enough to secure the win.

F12 Berlinetta and La Ferrari are the most appealing Ferraris according to Jorge Lorenzo

Having Lorenzo on a factory tour is becoming more and more a common thing, but this hasn’t prevented Ferrari from asking him some questions during an interview you can check after the jump. It was only natural to see Lorenzo having to name the Ferrari he likes the most, but to our surprise, he hasn’t provided the name of THE Prancing Horse he enjoys more.

Instead the two-time MotoGP World Champion mentioned the F12 Berlinetta as being an exquisite blend of elegance and performance. Still, when it comes to uniqueness and really standing from the crowd, even if we’re talking about the supercar crowd, it looks like La Ferrari scores highest in Jorge Lorenzo’s books.

Something tells us there are more things brewing between Ferrari and Lorenzo and we might see him pulling endurance stunts for Maranello in the future too. As for going 4 wheels, this doesn’t look like a thing which will happen any time soon. Lorenzo is probably in the best shape he’s ever been in for years, and has a big score to settle with Marc Marquez, too.
