Joe Does a Million Miles in 1990 Honda Accord

Joe LoCicero bought this 1990 Accord at a local Honda dealership as a used car with about 74,000 on the odometer. That doesn’t sound very, interesting does it? But he kept track of every bolt nut and washer, and he even did most of the work to maintain the car by himself.
However, his achievement doesn’t lie there, but in the fact that he has clocked 1 million miles on the car. This sunday, his local town of Norway honored his achievement with a parade and he also got a brand new 2012 Accord.

“If you listen carefully, she’s getting old. But it’s been an amazing ride,” LoCicero said.

According to Honda, this is the first time such a milestone had been reached and thoroughly documented in one of their vehicles. Joe admits that much of the the interior and upholstery had to be changed at 741,000 miles, but he insists that the engine and gearbox are the ones that came with the car when he bought it.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
