Having your ride towed for illegal parking – it turns out celebrities are not immune to it. Jennifer Lopez got a bitter taste of that during a planned trip at the beach in dune buggies, in the Hamptons, New York.
It happened the other day, when JLo took her two kids by ex-husband Marc Anthony and her crew to the beach, for what they assumed would be a fun ride in dune buggies. TMZ says that there were 3 such vehicles involved, with Jennifer leading the pack in hers.

Not one of them made it on the sand: as per the same media outlet, neither the star nor any member of the entourage knew that you have to have a permit to drive on the beach. The cops were called and all three dune buggies were towed, leaving Lopez and everyone else stranded.

Before you cry Jennifer a river, don’t. Eyewitnesses tell the celebrity e-zine that she called a friend to pick her up, her knight in shining armor, riding in a custom Bronco: fiance Alex Rodriguez showed up in his baby-blue Bronco, and gave them all a lift to the tow yard to recover the dune buggies.

Presumably, the dune buggy outing was postponed for another day – one when Jennifer won’t forget to take out a beach permit.

That said, this isn’t the strangest story of a stranded driver, even though it features a world-famous singer, dancer, actress, and fashion creator. Just the other day, one driver presumably from Minneapolis reached viral status after his flier searching for his “lost” 2007 Toyota Camry ended up on reddit. It said that he was looking for the car after an all-night binge, when he parked it on a side street because he was too drunk to drive. A more responsible friend came to help, offering a lift.

Imagine the confusion and the level of drunkenness to black out such an important thing, like where you leave your car. Lopez clearly has nothing on this guy.
