Jeep has announced it is offering the smallest SUV in its portfolio in a new special edition.
The Jeep Renegade Night Eagle version is following the tracks of the Cherokee Night Eagle and features exclusive trim and color combinations for the brand’s smallest SUV. Like the Cherokee Night Eagle before it, the special edition Renegade features the “Night Eagle” badge on it, and is based on the mid-range Longitude trim level.
The fog light frames feature satin-finished dark gray elements, and the trend continues on the grille, roof bars, and Jeep logos. The special edition of the Renegade features an exclusive model of 17-inch alloy rims, finished in black and fitted with M+S tires.
Since the Night Eagle is a special edition, the car is available in a new color, called Volcano Sand. The new option comes in addition to the standard body colors, which include shades called Carbon Black, Glacier Silver, Solar Yellow, and Alpine White.
The powertrain offering for this special edition of the Jeep Renegade includes a 2.0-liter Multijet II diesel engine with 120 HP or 140 HP with Active Drive permanent 4x4 system, or two engines available with front wheel drive. The two units in an FWD configuration are the 1.6-liter Multijet 120 HP unit and the 1.4-liter MultiAir 140 HP unit. All configurations feature a manual transmission.
Concerning trim, the Jeep Renegade Night Eagle features a new fabric material for the seats finished in a shade called Bark Brown. The steering wheel is dressed in leather, and the car gets cruise control. The instrument panel features a 3.5-inch display, while the UConnect multimedia system has a five-inch screen.
The special edition's standard equipment list also features rear parking sensors, electric lumbar adjustment for the driver seat, and a digitally adjusted air conditioning system.
Jeep will only sell 2,500 units of their special edition Renegade SUV in the EMEA region. The special edition models will be accessible in selected dealers from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
