Jeep has been selling the Wrangler Rubicon for the last ten years, and to celebrate the occasion, the American automaker has launched a special edition model, which comes with extra gear to make it an even more potent off-road machine.
The 10th anniversary special edition gets new strengthened bumpers, made out of steel, with removable end caps, increased ground clearance, new rock rails as well as specially-designed BF Goodrich KM2 off-road tires. It is powered by the Chrysler group 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, with 285 hp - enough to get it up even the steepest of inclines and over the largest of obstacles, despite not having the same low-down torque one would get from a diesel powerplant.

Other defining features of the special edition include a dual-intake Power Dome hood, red tow hooks on the front and rear, as well as a Mopar black fuel filler cap and rear light guards. Inside, it gets a special ‘Anniversary Red’ leather clad interior, yet it is not standard, and it has to be specified by the buyer.

Expect to see it in both two- and four-door variants in the metal, when it hits US dealerships in the spring of 2013.
