We are sure that by now you have come to know our love of sweeping 1960s curves and great car designs. Thankfully, there are still a few manufacturers who keep the tradition of actually designing cars (as opposed to copying them) alive. Jaguar is one of them, and aside from its current range of cars, all of which are rather handsome, they have made one of the best looking supercars ever conceived.
We are of course talking about the stunning XJ220, and since their new supercar has come into focus, we feel that it is important to note that they succeeded, at least from a design standpoint, in making a very elegant mid-engined car. While technically it wasn’t such a masterpiece, it could still crack 320 km/h (200 mph) easily, thanks in no small part to its ultra-areodynamic body.
While we are impressed by the design of the C-X75 concept, we say that they could have done even better and while they have yet to reveal the production version, it will probably not resemble the XJ220 at all. We say it’s a pity as the old car was, and still is very good to look at - not drive, which is what the new car will do much better!
