Jaguar is one of the carmakers that aren't enjoying a good run in terms of sales in the United States. But the British company wants to change than by upgrading its fleet in North America.
More precisely, the Leaping Cat from Coventry, United Kingdom plans to introduce four new or facelifted models on the American market by next year.

According to Automotive News, the Indian-owned brand wants to reinforce its position in the US. For that to happen, Jaguar will start selling the recenlty unveiled XF mid-size sedan along with the upgraded XJ towards the end of 2015.

However, 2016 will bring two new Jaguar models in America, namely the XE compact coupe and the company's first-ever SUV, the F-Pace.

Bearing in mind that the Germans are doing whatever they please on the US market, and it's hard for any carmaker to grab a slice of their share, Jaguar's decision to bring four cars seems justified.

In addition, officials are looking to spice things up a bit and offer something different that will appeal potential customers.

"It is about seduction, performance and design, with better looks, better value and better drive. There is almost a ubiquity about the German sedan," he said. "There is an awful lot of German metal on the road, and buyers don't want Lexus necessarily," said Joe Eberhardt, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America.

Last year, Jaguar sold less than 16,000 units in the United States while their US sales went down 7% in 2014 compared to the previous year.
