The year has kicked off in a big way for Isuzu, with the company registering a fantastic 111 percent increase in demand for its Rodeo pickup in the first two months of the year, compared to the same period of 2010. This sales momentum continues from last year’s increase in sales of 104% over 2009.
Particularly strong demand in the range was seen for the 2.5-liter diesel and Rodeo Denver Max models. The pickup, which has been on sale in the UK since 2004, has established itself on the market as a reliable vehicle that caters to the toughest and most demanding customers such as the farming community.
“Word is spreading fast of the Rodeo’s product virtues such as its long term reliability and sheer can-do attitude. As a Brand that specializes in pick-ups alone, understanding the specific requirements of the commercial market customer are key to our success and part of the Isuzu Brand DNA. We hope to sustain the momentum through 2011 and into 2012, when we plan to launch a new model to the range,” Isuzu Marketing Director Kenyon Neads said, describing the latest figures.
The Isuzu Rodeo Denver range is available in either single or double cab body style and with 2.5 or 3.0 liter common rail diesel engines. Prices start at £12,149 for the entry-level 136 bhp 2.5 Rodeo Single Cab 4X2, and go up to £21,999 for the top-of-the-range 163 bhp 3.0 Denver Max LE Auto, which comes fully loaded with Cruise control, a VAT-friendly 1,015kg payload, 18" 'Shadow chrome' alloy wheels, full leather interior trim, body-coloured hard-top with locking tailgate, under-rail bed liner, stainless-steel mesh front grille and a chrome finish bonnet garnish.
