With the Mission E set to kick off Porsche's all-electric offensive this September, Zuffehausen also has other electrified models coming our way this year. And I'm referring to the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid.
The production version of the gas-electric Cayenne will become the range-topper, both overall and as far as hybrids are concerned (the Cayenne also comes in 4 E-Hybrid form, remember?).

Now, the Panamera has taught us what to expect from the newcomer, so the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid should deliver at least 680 hp and 626 lb-ft of torque.

The said output makes the Porsche the most power SUV in the entire Volkswagen Group, even placing it ahead of the Lamborghini Urus (think: 650 hp). Nevertheless, with the Urus set to receive multiple derivatives (an ST-X "Stradale" is likely), the tables might turn in the near future.

The German automotive producer hasn't confirmed the release date of the upcoming SUV, but this is expected to land in the coming months.

In fact, we might be looking at the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid right now, with this prototype having been spotted at the factory - since the model is not out yet, it's only normal for the characteristic Acid Green badging and brake caliper finish to be absent.

The tech setup, which mixes the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 of the Turbo with electric power, will also make its way into the new Cayenne Coupe, but it's not clear if the sloping roofline hybrid will debut together with the standard body type.

Speaking of the Turbo S E-Hybrid, the rumor mill also sees this badge landing on the 992 (obviously with a different tech side) and this falls in line with older forum chat on the matter.

However, we might have to wait for the ".2" mid-cycle revamp of the Porsche 911 to see if such rumors are true.
