As such, engineers are currently polishing the final details of the supercar, with this obviously involving Nurburgring testing, among others. In fact, thanks to the brief piece of spy footage at the bottom of the page, you'll get to see the Porscha being thrown at the Ring hard, as is the norm during this kind of testing.
Other test cars have already revealed the design details of the machine and we can say the same about the leaked photo showcasing the rear-engined monster inside the factory - the latter seems to portray an example fitted with the expected Aerokit.

On the tech front, the 992 generation brings wider tracks, along with updates for the PAA (Porsche Active Aerodynamics). And these are just a part of the assets that are expected to see the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo entering the sub-7 Nurburgring club.

As you've noticed, we haven't discussed the firepower yet. That's because while a Turbo-specific implementation for the 8-Speed PDK is a certainty, the German automotive producer has managed to conceal the engine details in plain sight.

Under the engine cover of those prototypes there should be an all-new engine developed in the race to meet ever-stricter emission regulations. Regardless of the expected retirement for the current 3.8-liter mill, the new boxer is expected to pack at least 600 hp.

The 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S has already demonstrated that while it can be an even better daily driver than its predecessor, the vehicle is capable of punching into supercar territory. As such, the expectations for the new Turbo are sky-high.

As for the Turbo S, this could morph into the Turbo S E-Hybrid, as it has been the case with the Panamera and the Cayenne (the latter hasn't been revealed yet). Nevertheless, we might have to wait three to four years for the ".2" mid-cycle revamp of the 992 to see this move happening.
