Infiniti Ready to Name Inspired Performance Finalists

Having launched the International Digital Art Competition a while back, Japanese car manufacturer Infiniti is getting ready to name the six finalists of Inspired Performance, the first episode of what is supposed to become a three-event series of digital art.

Before the finalists are announced, Infiniti says it has appointed a jury, made up of big names in art, design, and marketing, that will be in charge with the selection of the winners. The Jury includes Adrian Newey (Red Bull Racing Formula 1 CTO), Birgit Lohmann (founder of designboom magazine) and Jean-Pierre Diernaz (Infiniti Europe marketing director).

So, what are these people meant to judge? The competition launched by Infiniti is open to all those willing to participate and at the same time to create, using 2D, 3D projections, and holograms of whatever crosses their minds, provided the final work brings a touch of Infiniti lines or soul to it. All the details, as well as the registration forms, can be found at the following link.

The six winners of this first episode of the competition will get their work displayed publicly at the opening of new Infiniti dealerships across the world. The one that prevails above all other will also receive a EUR10,000 prize.

“Performance is the never ending quest for perfection, and is the driving force behind the desire of individuals to focus on the detail in their journey to achieve the very best. This represents the perfect way to start the contest where we will see the pinnacle of artistic talent from participants who will demonstrate their ultimate creativity whilst being inspired by the Infiniti marque," said Diernaz.
