Infiniti M Line to Make European Debut at Geneva 2010

Nissan’s luxury division, Infiniti, today announced it will premiere the M line at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show next month, with European deliveries set to begin in September 2010. Petrol or diesel powered, with a hybrid soon to follow, the first M ever to be made available in Europe will feature a host of Infiniti innovations, such as Active Noise Control and “Forest Air” climate control.

The M37 on display at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show is an S model, which comes equipped with Infiniti’s four-wheel active steering (4WAS) system.

All Infiniti M models for Europe are powered by V6 engines, with 320 PS (235 KW) from the 3.7-litre petrol unit, and 238 PS (175 KW) from the new piezo-injection 3.0-litre diesel engine. The M30d has been designed specially for European markets. As said, the M line will be joined, in 2011, by a hybrid drivetrain version.

Other Infiniti innovations for the M Line include ESP with Dynamic Cornering Enhancement and Infiniti Drive, a system of four driver-selectable modes which adapts the car to be easily driven in Eco, Sport, Snow and Standard conditions.
