After somewhat uncertain estimations as far as its MotoGP future was concerned, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is finally confirmed to host this kind of events in 2014. Now Brickyard officials say that the road course will be modified.
J. Douglas Boles, Indianapolis Motor Speedway President told MotoGP.com that the 16-turn circuit will undergo a series of updates. It appears that it will retain the counter-clockwise direction and possibly, the number of turns.
Boles indicates that the new track designs will sport new turn configurations and braking zones for more thrilling passing opportunities in the hot zones.
Due to the structure of the 2014 MotoGP calendar, the Brickyard race will take place one week earlier than it din this year. This means that MotoGPfans will have their overdose of racing exhilaration on 10 August, 2014.
