Indianapolis Motor Speedway Confirmed to Host MotoGP Race in 2014
Good news for the MotoGP fans and enthusiasts from the US: the 2014 Premiere Class race was recently confirmed by both IMS and Dorna officials.
Rumored to close its gates for MotoGP races due to insufficient attendance compared to other motorsports events at the Brickyeard, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) hosted the seventh consecutive MotoGP race during the past weekend.

2014 is the final year of the current contract between IMS and MotoGP right holder Dorna Sports, and officials on both sides announced the contract will be carried out fully.

The even better news for the lucky guys in North America is that the two parties have mentioned the possibility of signing a new long-term relationship, past the terms of the running contract. With the first MotoGP round to have been hosted by the iconic motorsport raceway back in 2008, we may be looking to a brighter future for two-wheeled prototype racing at the Brickyard into the future.

This obviously is awesome, especially as the deal also includes the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships, and we get to see the next generation of riders growing up.
