2014 MotoGP: Pol Espargaro Replaces Crutchlow at Tech3 Yamaha from 2014

As rumored some months ago, it looks like Yamaha's satellite team Tech3 has indeed been in advanced talks with the Moto2 rider Pol Espagaro for a MotoGP seat in 2014 and 2015. Today the official announcement was made, and so Pol will replace Cal Crutchlow, who signed a 2-year contract with Ducati.

Pol Espargaro, 22, is the brother of the Power Electronics Aspar nin-MSMA (former CRT) rider Aleix Espargaro, currently 10th in the world standings and the top non-factory rider. Pol will have Britain's Bradley Smith as team mate, but his Moto2 rival, Scott Redding will be just next to him, as he announced he will also step up to MotoGP next year, though for an yet unknown team.

Brother versus brother, the MotoGP is all of a sudden much more interesting...
