Back in January, American Honda offered an outlook on its 2024 US automotive business, confidently predicting even higher sales for the namesake brand and Acura after last year's jump of 33% in deliveries.
In 2023, the Japanese automaker Honda subsidiary sold 1.3 million vehicles combined between Honda and Acura. In 2024, on the other hand, they want 1.3 million deliveries for Honda alone plus 150k for Acura. Naturally, they have also prepared a plan to achieve that.
The premium division, for example, will bring to market the all-electric ZDX SUV in early 2024, their MDX best-selling model will feature extensive revisions, the RDX will also boast some upgrades, and the brand will also introduce an all-new first-ever compact crossover SUV at the bottom of the line to serve as the high-riding sibling of the Integra.
Meanwhile, Honda has fewer novelties – the niche all-electric Prologue SUV, the CR-V Fuel Cell Vehicle, the enhanced Odyssey, and the 2025 model year Civic. However, the latter – with "styling and feature enhancements" – and the addition of the Civic Hybrid in hatchback and sedan format will probably represent the most important novelty from the company for the entire year.
Naturally, the teased Civic Hybrid (Honda released a single full picture of the electrified version plus a rear detail) and the facelift procedure have attracted the attention of everyone, including the rumor mill and the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. For example, the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube have imagined the CGI looks of the upcoming 2025 Honda Civic facelift from every angle and also from the inside out.
The resident pixel master didn't have to work hard for the traditional front three-quarters point of view and instead only deployed most of the CGI magic at the rear (where they imagined subtle LED taillight revisions) and inside the cabin. The cockpit is hypothetically much more akin to other carmakers, with a tablet-like arrangement of the digital instrument cluster and the larger central infotainment screen. Of course, do take all these renderings with a healthy dose of salt, as nothing is official about the cockpit or rear of the refreshed Civic just yet.
Instead, the CGI expert dropped on us the channel's traditional color reel with lots of luxurious choices – both inside and out – and also worked out some nifty comparisons between the real 2024 model year and the unofficial renderings of the 2025MY. As for the host, he speculates heavily about the potential powertrain of the Civic Hybrid, hoping for the plug-in hybrid setup from the CR-V sold in other markets but ultimately settling on the more significant possibility of a regular hybrid system. So, which Honda Civic version would you choose, and in what color combination?
