Hurst Working on Supercharged RAM 1500

Hurst Performance used the NADA Convention to announce it is working on a new go-fast version of the RAM 1500. The project, which which will be a limited edition, uses the HEMI Hauler name.

The 2011 Regular Cab Sport R/T RAM 1500 is being used as a base for the project, with the company adding both tech and aesthetic upgrades.

"We've talked about doing a high-performance truck a number of times," said Nate Shelton, President and Chairman of Hurst Performance Vehicles. "With the help of our very dedicated dealer network, we've found enough customer interest to make this project feasible and look forward to welcoming a whole new type of enthusiast to the Hurst family."

The list of performance modifications includes a supercharger and a polished custom exhaust for the truck's 5.7 liter HEMI V8 mill.

As for the exterior, this will be gifted with Hurst graphics (to be placed on the driver and passenger side fenders, doors and bed), Hurst badges (on the grill and tailgate), as well as a custom finish for the interior spokes of the factory 22-inch forged aluminum rims.

The interior of the vehicle will offer red stitching for the upholstery, embroidered Hurst logos on the headrests, Hurst's signature "Pistol-Grip" billet aluminum anodized shifter , a metallic dash plaque, as well as Hurst-embroidered floor mats.

Hurst will only bring 50 of these custom trucks into the world each year, with each example coming with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and signatures in the cab from the Hurst Team.
